With the help of this Fellowship scheme, the students of Haryana state can pursue full-time research on their specific subject. By pursuing full-time research on any specific subject the students can lead to getting a PhD in the specific subject. About HSCST Fellowship
Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology Fellowship is a great initiative by the Haryana state government. Through this initiative, the Haryana state government will reward the talented and meritorious students and allow them to pursue their research full time. The stipend of INR 18000 to INR 31000 will be given to the selected fellows depending on the course of study they have completed. With the help of financial assistance, the students can easily complete their research and gain significant knowledge. Students who are qualified in JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) & LS-NET in the joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for lectureship (NET) will be selected for carrying out their Ph. D. work in any of the universities/institutes in Haryana.

Objective of HSCST Fellowship
The main objective of launching the fellowship is to allow the students to complete their Research and gain a PhD degree in any specific subject. Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any of the specified broad subject areas.
- Minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree.
- Must have qualified:
- JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) and
- LS-NET in the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (NET)
- The CSIR-UGC Test should have been held on 26th, 27th, or 28th December 2023
- Not eligible if receiving fellowship or financial assistance from any other source
Age Limit
- The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on 1.6.2023, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped, and OBC applicants.

Fellowship Stipend
Candidates with JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC):
- Will receive a fellowship if not already getting it from CSIR/UGC for a valid reason.
- Fellowship rates:
- INR 31,000 per month for JRF
- INR 35,000 per month for SRF
Candidates with LS-NET:
- Will also be eligible for fellowship at existing CSIR/UGC rates
- Preference will be given to CSIR-qualified candidates
- Fellowship rates:
- INR 18,000 per month for JRF
- INR 21,000 per month for SRF
An annual contingency grant of โน20,000 will be provided to the University/Institution

Selection Process
- The students will be selected on the basis of their clearance of eligibility criteria.
- The fellows must complete all the specific eligibility criteria to be selected under the fellowship.
- Selection is based on performance in the Joint CSIR-UGC NET conducted by NTA.
- Fellowship is awarded to meritorious candidates who have qualified JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) and LS-NET for Ph.D. in any University/Institute in Haryana.
- HSCSIT will advertise the fellowship after NTA declares the result and issues certificates.
- Candidates must apply through the advertisement and will be selected based on the stated criteria.
