To ensure that no deserving and hard-working student is forced to give up on their dream of becoming a doctor due to financial constraints, Usha Darshan Foundation has introduced a new scholarship scheme known as the “Usha Darshan Foundation Scholarship” for those students who are interested in the field of medicine and wish to complete their MBBS studies. Under this, the Usha Foundation provides a scholarship amount equal to the actual expenditure based on the actual annual receipts of tuition fees, hostel fees, excluding mess charges, and the cost of books and essential stationery issued by the concerned Medical College and the college bookshop. This scholarship is available for four types of students belonging to low-income families, including BPL EWS, LSE, and in all the above categories, preference will be given to the notified groups by the state or Central government, like OBC, SC, and other backward categories. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, meet the following eligibility criteria:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Applicant must belong to BPL or be from any low socioeconomic status family from any reserved category notified by the central and all state governments.
- Applicant must be a student who has cleared the need exam and has been offered a place in a government medical college in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
- Applicant must have passed 10 + 2 from a central or state government school in India.
- Applicant must have good moral character and behavior and must not have any police cases launched against them.
