The Telangana state government has launched the Telangana Overseas Scholarship for SC, ST, BC, and Minority Students. Are you also a student of Telangana state who belongs to the minority community and wants to pursue higher education from abroad, but cannot due to financial difficulties? Then worry not, the Telangana state government has introduced a new scholarship for you. Under this scholarship, the students will receive financial benefits from the state government to allow them students pursue a postgraduate degree from abroad. All the students who want to avail the benefits of the scholarship must fill out the application form before the last date, which is 24th September 2025.
About Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi
The Telangana state government introduced the Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi as a scholarship scheme for students who want to pursue their education abroad. Under this scholarship, the students will receive financial assistance of INR 20 lakh or as per the admission letter, whichever is less. The financial assistance will significantly enhance the ability to pursue their education of the students and allow them to focus on their studies rather than worrying about the fees of their Institute. Along with the financial assistance under the scholarship, the students will also receive an economic ticket and Visa charges.

Objective of Telangana Overseas Scholarship
The main objective of launching the scholarship is to allow students who belong to the minority community to you higher education from abroad. This scheme will significantly and hands the overall educational qualities for the student to belong to the SC, ST, and OBC communities. Under this scholarship, the students can pursue their education in countries including the USA, Canada, Germany, France, the UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. All the students who have scored 60% in Graduation and an eligible score in GRE/GMAT and English Proficiency Test are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria
- The students must be permanent residents of Telangana state.
- The students must belong to the SC, ST, BC, or minority.
- The family income of the students must not exceed INR 5 lakh.
- The students must score 60 pc marks or equivalent grade in their bachelor’s degree in engineering/management/pure sciences/agriculture sciences/medicine and nursing/social sciences/ humanities.
- The student must have received COE/I-20 and VISA.

- STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “register”.
- STEP 3: The registration form will now appear on your desktop screen the students must enter all the details that are asked and attach the necessary documents.
- STEP 4: After entering the details, the students can click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
