Motive of SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship

Under this scheme, the government targets those students whose family annual income is less than 3 lakh per annum for school-going students and Rs 6 lakh per annum for college students.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SBI scholarship applicant needs to meet the following eligibility criteria:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Applicant must be either a school-going student or an undergraduate or a postgraduate at a top-ranked institution.
- Applicant must have scored at least 75% marks or a 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year.
- Applicants who are scholars at IITs and IIMs can apply.
- Applicants pursuing medical courses are also eligible.
- Applicants seeking to study abroad are also eligible.
- Applicant must belong to the ST SC community, aiming for master’s or higher education in a global University, is also eligible.
- Annual income of applying students must not exceed 3 lakh per year for school students and Rs. 6 lakh per year for college students, respectively
