The Richard and Susan Hayden Academy Fellowship is open to candidates in the middle of their careers who work in academia, non-governmental organizations, business, government agencies, civil society, or the media. This fellowship is a collaborative effort between Susan and Richard Hayden. It gives applicants in their early to mid-career stages the chance to work on a personal research subject of their choosing for 10 months at Chatham House. Objective of Richard and Susan Hayden Academy Fellowship

The Fellowship is available to all Nationals worldwide. The fellows will stay at Chatham House in London for ten months. The program will begin in October 2025 and run until July 2026. There is no application fee, and all costs are covered by the fellowship. Building professional networks and strengthening leadership abilities are the goals of this fellowship. Participants will carry out extensive research on a topic of their choosing over the course of the ten months. Candidates are welcome to come from a variety of backgrounds, including academia, government, research, civil society, and journalism.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for applying to this program is given below:-

• All nationalities are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
•  Candidates must have research experience and a finished bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. 
• The ideal candidate should be in their early to mid-career stage and work in academia, a non-profit organization, business, government agencies, civil society, or the media. 
• All candidates should be interested in and knowledgeable about international affairs, their field of study, and the goals and research of Chatham House.
• It is not feasible to pursue a fellowship while working or studying because fellows are expected to work full-time toward their fellowship.
• There are no age restrictions for applying under this program.

Financial Benefits 

A monthly stipend of £2,365 is provided to the fellow, covering living expenses in London, such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other essentials.
