Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Pre-Matric Scholarship are as given below:
- The student should be living in Uttarakhand and must be studying in any recognised school which is in the same state only.
- It is needed that the student has passed the last year exam otherwise the scholarship can’t be given to them.
- More than one school must not be attended by the student during the same academic year, else the form will be rejected.
- The Aadhaar number which is written in the online form must be correct and must also be linked with the student’s name.
- For SC/ST students from Class 1 to 8, no income limit has been decided by the authority.
- For SC/ST students of Class 9 and 10, the income of the family must be less than Rs. 2,50,000 yearly.
- For OBC and other backward students who studying from Class 1 to 10, income of the family should be below Rs. 2,50,000 also.

Financial Benefits
The financial benefits of the pre-matric scholarship are as follows:
- For SC/ST students who are in classes 1 to 5, Rs. 600 is being given every year as per the rules that were laid out.
- In class 6 to 8, Rs. 960 is supposed to be paid yearly to the SC/ST students who studying in school.
- Other caste students who stay in hostels and read in class 3 to 10 are being given Rs. 5500 for full year but only if they living there.
- When not staying in hostel, then from class 1 to 10, students can be given Rs. 1500 in whole one year, which is not much but still helpful.
- For class 9 and 10, those who live in hostel will be given Rs. 6250 and others will get Rs. 3000 or sometimes Rs. 1500, it depend on caste also.

Selection Process
The selection process for the scholarship includes:
- First, all the forms are looked at one by one by the authorities. If anything is written wrong, then that is called as defective and is marked.
- After that, such defective forms is sent back to students so they can fix it quickly and return again without making same mistake.
- Then, the fixed forms is again checked to see if now everything is correct or not, and once it is okay, it is sent to the college where student is studying.
- The authorities are told to verify the form and they checks if the student is studying properly or not and if all info is right or not also.
- If everything is good, then it is approved from the college side and sent ahead to the government side.
- On the government side, again, it is verified, and a list of students who are selected is made ready for sending to the bank.
- Those students are told by message or mail if they have been selected or not.
- If bank account is right and active, then the money is sent there, but if the account have any mistake or wrong number, then money is not sent.

- Step 1: All the eligible students under the scholarship should visit the NSP Website to proceed with the application process.

- Step 2: All the applicants has to register themselves under the national scholarship portal, before applying for the scholarship.
- Step 3: For registering under the portal, the applicants has to keep the documents ready and proceed to the homepage of the official website.
- Step 4: Once you are on the homepage of the official website, click on โStudentsโ option to get registered under the portal.
