The Pratibha Scholarship is an initiative launched by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment. Under this program, the students will receive financial assistance to pursue higher studies in the science stream. The applicants will also get a chance to attend the science Orientation Programmes and interact with experts in science through the SPEED Scheme. The applicants will be selected for the Pratibha Scholarship at the Undergraduate level based on the marks they obtained in all science subjects in the higher Secondary examination. The applicants should have secured admission for 3 3-Year UG/4 Year UG (FYUGP)/4-Year UG (Home)/5-Year integrated P.G Programme in basic/natural sciences in 2024-25. About KSCSTE
The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment (KSCSTE) was established in November 2002 as an independent organisation under the Kerala Ministry of Science and Technology with the mission of promoting growth and transformation via science and technology. It was formerly known as the Science, Technology, and Environment Committee (STEC), which was founded in 1972 in accordance with the Indian government’s science policy. In addition to fine-tuning important policies for the long-term advancement of humanity, the council supports and initiates programs aimed at expanding the body of scientific knowledge. Through technological innovation and scientific research, the council creates the development roadmap. Motive of Prathibha Scholarship
The motive of the Pratibha scholarship is to provide Financial assistance to students who want to pursue higher education in Science. Under this Program, the students who have passed their 12th class admission will benefit. The applicant will receive counselling and will get a chance to meet experts or pioneers of science from our country. The scholarship will be a great step towards the empowerment of the sections of society that are suppressed due to financial constraints. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Kerala with a minimum of 90 percent marks in the previous Examination.

Selection Process
- The selection will be done on the basis of marks secured in the higher secondary board examination for all four subjects.
- The eligible candidates will be grouped under the three Broad subject groups, which are Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences, based on the subject chosen as “main” for the degree course.
- The total number of Scholarships will be proportioned with 30 percent for each above categories, and 10 percent will be reserved for SC/ST students.
