Odisha Laptop Scholarship (Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana)
The Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha is providing students in the state with the option to participate in the Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana Yojana for SC, ST,OBC/SEBC,EBC Communities, Odisha 2025–2026. A laptop will be purchased for ₹30,000 by a select group of worthy students. The Scholarship will be given to the permanent residents of Odisha. The Scholarship will be a one time grant which will be provided by the state Government. The scholarship will be given to the students without any caste exception. The students have a great opportunity to avail the benefits of the Government.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this program is given below:-
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
- The applicant should belong to the General/SC/ST/OBC/SEBC or EBC Community of the state.
- The program allows eligible students whose names appear on the list of meritorious students published by the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, and who have passed the Annual Higher Examination (+2), 202a in Science/Arts/Commerce/Vocational Secondary Stream administered by CHSE, Odisha, or the Upashastri Examination, 2024 administered by Shree Lagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya (SlSyJ) to apply for a Direct Benefit Transfer of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees 30,000) exclusively for the purchase of a laptop.
- The Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS) will be used to pay the Rs. 30,000 in financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer. The funds will be sent straight to the Aadhaar-linked bank account, Aadhaar-seeded bank account, or NPCI-mapped bank account (the most recent linked bank account, so its important that applicants’ bank account should be needed with Aadhar.

Selection Process
The selection process under this program is given below:-
- According to merit under each category, the list of deserving students who pass the Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE), Odisha’s Annual Higher Secondary Examination (Arts, Science, or Commerce) or Vocational Examination, or the Upashastri Examination, held by Sri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Puri, is compiled from CHSE, Odisha, and SJSV, Puri, respectively.
- Beneficiary lists are created for this reason using data from the CHSE and SJSV according to the previously mentioned selection principle, BIocUULB-wise, District-wise, Stream-wise, and Category-wise.
- The block/ULB allocation and the marks obtained will be used to choose the eligible beneficiaries.
- Students who receive 60 percent or more will ideally be given preference when choosing the scheme’s beneficiaries.

Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana Yojana Application Process
The application process under this program is given below step by step:-
- Step 1:- Click the Registration link to register using your Aadhaar number and the cellphone number associated with it if you are a first-time user of the State Scholarship portal. The login button can be clicked by an existing user.
- Step 2:- To continue with the registration process, enter your Aadhaar number. (If someone does not have an Aadhaar number, they should enrol in Aadhaar at the closest Aadhaar enrolment centre.)
- Step 3:- To obtain the user’s ID and password, check the email or mobile device (i.e., the one connected to the Aadhar number).
- Step 4:- To apply for the scholarship, click the portal’s login link and enter your User ID and password that you received by email or SMS.
- Step 5:- From the scholarship drop-down list, choose GVPY.
- Step 6:- Your screen will open a new page in this step.
- Step 7:- Click the “Register” button and fill out the necessary information.
- Step 8:- Next, send in the necessary paperwork. Complete all required fields.
- Step 9:- At this point, press the submit button.
