Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this program is given below:-
- The candidate must have earned a Ph.D. or D.M. within the previous four years. Their Ph.D. degree must have been earned between July 15, 2021, and July 14, 2025.
- The candidate must have a publication in a reputable journal and upload their Ph.D. or D.M. degree certificate or provisional on the online application. A copy of a recent, noteworthy publication (a paper or article) that is no more than 30 pages must be uploaded to the online application.
- No Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship is available to employees of the Indian State Governments or the Indian Government. This comprises bureaucratic employees working in both federal and state ministries or departments, as well as civil servants in the central services (such IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, and related services) and state government services (including state civil services).

Financial Benefits
These scholarships cover round-trip economy class airfare, a small settling-in allowance, a professional allowance, a monthly stipend, support for J-1 visas, and the Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges in accordance with U.S. Government regulations.
