A scholarship worth over Rs. 6 crore has been announced by Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana, and it was made to support students who study hard but their families can’t pay the high medical fees. The cost of medical courses has been going too high, and because of that, many students were being stopped from studying, so this help was badly needed. More than sixty scholarships are being planned to be given to students doing MBBS, BSc Nursing, and paramedical courses, and a few are also being kept for children of defence personnel. Also, 5 more students will be given 50%, and another 5 will get a 25% scholarship, and this step was taken so that poor students can study well.

Scholarships for Children of Doctors and Employees
The Scholarships for Children of Doctors and Employees was started for students whose parents are working full-time in a hospital for a minimum of 10 years, and if the family income is Rs. 10 lakh or less in one year, then 1 student will be given a 100% scholarship for the full MBBS course. Also, 4 more students will be given a 75% scholarship based on NEET Punjab merit, and this help was planned to support staff families.
