• Financial Assistance: Over eight months, fellows are given a total stipend of sixteen thousand dollars.
•  Virtual Meetings: Every Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 PM Pacific Time, the fellowship holds virtual meetings. 
• Mentoring and Assistance: Throughout the program, fellows receive one-on-one check-ins with peers and staff, which offers direction and assistance.
• Independent Work Time: The fellowship allows specific time for self-reflection and project creation. 
• Resource Access: By providing access to USC digital resources and the larger Civic Media network, fellows promote learning and teamwork.

Selection Process 

The selection process under this program is given below:-

• The application for the 2025/26 program is open from 3/3/25 to 3/28/25. All applicants must 1) fill out the application, 2) send in the contact information for two references, and 3) have one reference fill out a recommendation form (a link to the recommendation form is included on the application and may be forwarded to the recommender of the applicant’s choice).
• The final decision will lie in the hands of University itself.
