AICTE – Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Especially Abled Students (Technical Degree)
AICTE is implementing the Saksham MHRD Scheme, which encourages and supports students with special needs to pursue technical education. This is an effort to provide all young students with special needs the chance to continue their education and acquire technical knowledge and education to set themselves up for success in the future. Rs. 50,000/-per year for each academic year, or a maximum of four years for first-year students and three years for second-year students enrolled through lateral entry, as a lump sum payment for college fees, computer purchases, stationery purchases, books, equipment, software, etc. No more funding will be provided to cover expenses for housing, healthcare, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Through lateral entry, the candidate should be accepted into either the first or second year of a degree-level course at any of the relevant years’ AICTE-approved schools.
- Students who have a disability of at least 40% must be considered differently abled.
- The student’s family’s yearly income cannot be more than INR 8 lakh.

The applicant must fit into one of the following groups:
(i) Orphan OR
(ii) One or both parents passed away because of COVID-19 OR
(iii) Central Paramilitary Forces and Armed Forces wards were slain in action (Shaheed)
OR (iv) According to the RPwD Act of 2016, a parent has a serious life-threatening illness (such as cancer, etc.) or has died or been seriously handicapped (more than 80%) in an accident.
- During the application’s fiscal year, the family’s total annual income from all sources cannot exceed Rs. 8 lakhs. Please submit a legitimate income certificate from the State or UT Government.
- The candidate must be enrolled in normal mode degree/diploma programs at AICTE-approved schools and be in their first, second, third, or fourth year of study.

AICTE Scholarship Registration 2025
- Candidates must first go to the AICTE Scholarship’s official website.

- You must select the New Registration option when the homepage displays on your screen.
- After reading all the instructions on the new page that appears, click the Continue option.
- The registration page will now show up on your computer. If all the relevant information is included, including:
- Student’s name, state scholarship category, and scheme type, Gender, phone number, email address, and bank IFSC code, Number of bank accounts, Details of identification

Renewal of AICTE Scholarship
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal’s website.

- In the “OTR” area, click the “Login” button. Then, enter your password, OTR number, and captcha.
