- The candidates will be selected only by their marks in the 10+2 or equivalent exam to join the First year or Second year (lateral entry) of the degree course in AICTE-approved colleges.
- A merit list will be made for each State or Union Territory based on the number of scholarships available.
For Technical Diploma:
- The candidates will be selected only by their marks in the 10th or equivalent exam to join the First year or Second year (lateral entry) of the diploma course in AICTE-approved colleges.

- Step 1: All the eligible candidates under the scholarship program should visit the NSP Website to apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
- Step 2: On the homepage of the official website, click on the “Students” option to proceed with the registration process under the NSP portal.
- Step 3: You will be taken to another page, where you have to click on the “Login” button under the “OTR” section to proceed further.
