Under the Maharashtra 2025 Pre-matric Scholarship for students Engaged in Unclean Occupation, students from families that work in dirty jobs like tanning, scavenging, and similar activities would receive assistance. Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for applying under this problem is given below:- 

• The program accepts applications from students from any category.
• There is no income limit for applying under this program.
• The parents of the applicant should work in unclean placed.
• Students need to be enrolled in a school that is provided by or administered by the government.
• The applicant should be the permanent resident of Maharashtra. 
• All board students are eligible for the program, with the exception of self-finance student.
• Until the course is passed, students who obtain a failing mark for the year are not eligible.

Financial Benefits

• For ten months, the host will get rupees 700 per month, plus an adhoc grant of rupees 1000 for books and study materials.
• For ten months, Day-Scholar will get rupees 110 per month, and an adhoc grant of rupees 750 will cover books and study materials. 
•  The state owns 40% and the central government 60%. Payment will be made in a single Instalment.

• Engaged in unclean occupations require the certificate of a Competant Authority such as Gram sevak and sarpanch, Head of Municipal Corporation, Commissioner of Corporation/ Dy. Commissioner/ward Officer.
• Self-declaration about engaged in unclean occupation on rupees 20 stamp paper.
