Assam NMMS Scholarship
The Assam state government launched the NMMS scholarship, which is designed to help meritorious students to belong to financially weak households. The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) was first introduced by the central government of India in the year 2008 for the betterment of all the students in India who are financially unstable. Since then, the scheme has become a popular choice among various students in India because it offers financial support to meritorious students. The financial assistance of INR 12000 per year, which is INR 1000 per month, will be given to all the selected students.
Objective of NMMS Scholarship
The main objective of launching the scholarship is to help students who belong to the marginalised sector of society and allow them to get primary education easily. all the students were currently studying in classes 9th to 12th or eligible to avail the benefits of the scholarship. does scholarship test will consist of a total of 90 questions, and a student must score at least 40% marks as an average of the 2 tests. To be eligible for the test, you must have scored at least 55% marks in your class 8 examination.

Eligibility Criteria
- The students must have scored at least 55% marks or above in their final examination of class 7th.
- The students must be studying in recognized Government Schools/Government Aided Schools/Local Body and Government Sponsored Schools including Madrasah without residential facilities.
- The annual income of the student’s family must not exceed INR 3.5 lakh.
